Telefonica Global chooses TEOCO for spectrum refarming and frequency planning

TEOCO signs framework agreement to supply spectrum refarming and frequency planning services to Telefonica’s operator businesses worldwide

FAIRFAX, VA., USA – 2 March 2017 - TEOCO, the leading provider of analytics, assurance and optimization solutions to over 300 communication service providers (CSPs) and OEMs worldwide, has been selected by Telefonica, one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies in the world, to be the main provider of spectrum refarming and frequency planning services for all of its operator businesses around the world. The agreement between Telefonica and TEOCO covers the full range of refarming services; from specific performance parameters, multi-vendor compatibility and delivery requirements including frequency retuning. Telefonica’s selection of TEOCO comes at a time when operators worldwide are migrating their legacy networks and rolling out new ones, and facing multi-vendor compatibility and scalability challenges. TEOCO’s FORTE optimization solution and TEOCO’s multivendor expertise across Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia and ZTE were important in Telefonica’s choice of TEOCO.
