2015 CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS AMERICA Conference and Exhibition Relocating from Las Vegas to Washington, DC

Atlanta, GA, September 15, 2014 – CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS AMERICA announced today the relocation of the 2015 event from Las Vegas to Washington, DC. The fourth edition will now take place May 5 – 7, 2015 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

The first three editions were held in Las Vegas and after extensive surveys and discussions with customers, show management has made the strategic decision that it is time to move the event in order to attract a larger qualified audience.

Washington, DC is a perfect center point for the Eastern half of the United States with the majority of cities on the East Coast being within only a 2-hour flight of the city, and many can come via a simple and quick train ride.  For those that are already managing limited schedules and budgets, the proximity to hubs of several of the primary attendee segments, such as Banking/Finance, Government, and Retail, will result in the ability for show management to make the event more attractive to its attendees.

DC is also the heart of U.S. government agencies who are dealing with severe financial cutbacks for spending on events and conferences. This move will thus allow a greater ease and affordable option for the majority of government professionals who will not have to travel to get to the event.

“We are very excited about the move of CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS AMERICA to Washington, DC, as we view this as the next evolutionary step in the growth of the event for the North American market.  This is a unique time in the development of the Payment, Identification and Mobility industry, and CARTES is at the heart of it,” commented Isabelle Alfano, Exhibition Director of CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS AMERICA.

“Barnes International supports the CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS America move to Washington DC in May 2015. This brings the conference and exhibition to the eastern United States where a large proportion of the card manufacturing and banking industry is based. This location will enable more people to find it easier to visit the exhibition and benefit from the highly knowledgeable speaker presentations, gain valuable insight early in a critical year for migration of cards to EMV and learn of exciting further developments for delivery of mobile payments. Conference delegates and exhibition visitors can visit with all the main vendors to the card industry concentrated in one place making the whole event highly worthwhile,” added Brian Summerhayes, Managing Director of Barnes International.

CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS AMERICA combines a high level conference program with international experts and a comprehensive exhibition featuring the most representative companies in the industry.

The CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS AMERICA conference will run for three days over several tracks, covering the latest issues affecting the secure payments industry. The leading manufacturers and technology suppliers from around the world will again participate in the trade-only exhibition.  The CARTES brand is known around the world for the quality of the education, the networking, and the supplier participants in the events. Manufacturers and suppliers from more than 25 countries are again expected to be participating in the 2015 event.
