3ivx HLS Adapter enables streaming to Windows 8 with current HLS streaming infrastructure

The 3ivx HLS Adapter is a unique software solution that enables broadcasters and content providers to re-use content and backend systems when targeting Windows 8.
With the upcoming launch of Windows 8, the world is at the brink of the biggest shift-change in personal computing history. Windows 8 will unify Windows phones, tablets, laptops and desktops with a common kernel and shared Apps, making Windows 8 a market that cannot be ignored.
Windows 8 does not support HTTP Live Streaming, the format used to deliver video to Android and iOS devices, requiring new media back-ends, content encoding, media archival, streaming formats and content distribution.
