Showcase OTT Solution at OTTtv World Summit

RENNES, France — Nov. 15, 2011 — Thomson Video Networks today announced that it will have a major presence at the OTTtv World Summit, to be held at the Thistle Marble Arch Hotel in London Nov. 15-17.

Eric Gallier, VP of marketing for Thomson Video Networks, will speak on the topic of “Delivering Broadcast-Quality Video Over OTT Networks,” on day two of the OTTtv Conference on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 2:30 p.m. In his session, Gallier will describe the convergence of Internet TV and broadcast networks, and present the latest developments in video compression and adaptive streaming for CDN networks.

Also during OTTtv, Thomson Video Networks will be partnering with NetroMedia Streaming Solutions to power a live demonstration of online service delivery using the flagship ViBE VS7000 video streaming platform and NetroMedia’s global delivery network. This joint delivery solution has been tested extensively during the development phase and can now be deployed seamlessly to any broadcaster utilizing the ViBE VS7000 system.

Designed for convergent media applications such as Web TV and OTT services delivery, traditional IPTV, and cable delivery, the ViBE VS7000 is a new “anything in anything out” transcoding platform, which offers outstanding video quality through a new innovative compression engine that combines all major audio/video codecs and the latest adaptive streaming formats.

“The OTTtv World Summit is a fitting platform for the inauguration of Thomson’s new relationship with NetroMedia,” said Christophe Delahousse, president of Thomson Video Networks. “The combination of our technologies and NetroMedia’s streaming expertise and network infrastructure delivers enormous advantages to the OTT market.”
