·         Leading Vendors, Solution and Service Providers to meet in London in May 2012

(London, 9 March 2012) IT Europa and Angel Business Communications announced today that they will jointly be staging the first UK Managed Services Convention on 22 May 2012 in London. The event will bring together leading hardware and software vendors, hosting providers, telecommunications companies, mobile operators and web services providers involved in cloud-based managed services with resellers, integrators and service providers migrating to, or developing their own managed services portfolio.

The UK Managed Services Convention 2012 is a management-level event designed to help channel organisations identify opportunities arising from the increasing demand for managed services and to develop and strengthen partnerships aimed at supporting sales. Building on the success of the UK Managed Services Summit staged last September, the convention will feature a high-level conference programme exploring the impact that trends in Cloud, Mobility, new intelligent devices and Consumerisation are having on the implementation and delivery of business solutions. Such disruptive technologies are having a profound effect on channel business models and causing a complete rethink on the role of IT.

During the day, breakout sessions covering the six major market segments making up the managed services proposition including: support services, unified communications, software as a service, operations, infrastructure services and communications. These sessions will be augmented by boardroom sessions presented by leading vendors and service providers which will provide further insight into the opportunities for channel organisations looking to expand their managed services portfolios.

“Advances in technology, economic pressures and evolving business models are combining to fundamentally change role of the ICT channel organisations,” says Alan Norman, Managing Director of IT Europa. “The Managed Services Convention 2012 provides a unique opportunity for vendors, VARs, integrators and service providers to come together to address the issues and opportunities arising from the surge in customer demand for managed services-based delivery models.”

The Managed Services Convention 2012 will take place at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London, on 22 May 2012.
