ARRIS Workforce Management Solution Drives Completion of Three Million Work Orders in Central and Latin America;

Suwanee, GA – April 19, 2012:  ARRIS Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARRS) today announced that its WorkAssure™ Workforce Management solution currently manages 12,000 technicians in Central and Latin American (CALA), who completed over three million work orders in 2011. 

 

To further support its growing regional customer deployments, ARRIS has selected Sigma Systems Global Services team to deliver local project management and engineering services to help integrate WorkAssure workforce management with service providers’ back office systems.  Under the terms of the agreement, ARRIS will continue to own primary responsibility for the product’s sale and customized development per market.

 

WorkAssure streamlines a service provider’s operations through workflow improvements that increase productivity, reduce errors and rework, and improve reliability and quality. MSOs using WorkAssure provide higher quality service, experience fewer outages and errors, improved provisioning, and more effective problem resolution. The solution addresses two of MSOs’ biggest challenges: maximizing operational efficiency and enhancing the customer experience. 

 

WorkAssure workforce management improves the efficiency of a service provider’s mobile workforce by leveraging new technology in network elements, handheld PCs and wireless communications to automate manual tasks and intelligently deliver the critical essentials to the workforce, matching specific jobs to specific technicians trained in resolving those issues.  The bottom line is a dramatic reduction in missed and late appointments, repeat trouble calls, new subscriber calls and unnecessary truck rolls.
