Rising industry demand for telecommunications operations management software following ITIL certification

ZTE software solutions for global operators demonstrate momentum following industry recognition

2 March 2015, Nanjing, China – ZTEsoft, a subsidiary of ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, has announced its ZSmart outage frequency management (OFM) solution has been certified by the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). This achievement closely follows the solution’s recognition from Gartner and a swift rise in deployments of its operations and management solution, iNOC.

A Pink Elephant programme powered by ITIL tests a number of capabilities through the certification process including incident management, problem management and change management, to ensure it meets the demands of CSPs globally.

ZTE’s ZSmart OFM 8.0 solution, enables CSPs around the world to build flexible and stable BSS/OSS systems and is designed help them cope with the challenges of the data era. To deal with three challenges in OFM, operation strategy and market-related operation, ZSmart 8.0 focuses on three areas – innovation and profit, user experience, and operations management efficiency.

ZTEsoft international center president, Zhou Yong, said, “The ZSmart OSS solution has been positioned in the Gartner Magic Quadrant report, and therefore the ITIL certification is another demonstration of the solution’s promising value to providing services to a large number users globally.”

The certification closely follows strong demand for ZTEsoft’s other operations and management solution, iNOC, which improves network maintenance, reduces OPEX and supports operational decision making to enhance service experience. The solution has been deployed in Indonesia, Singapore, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe and Germany, servicing more than 90 million subscribers across these countries over the last 3 years.

“As operators continue to evolve mobile and fixed technology, often working with multi-layered and legacy technology, the importance of robust and reliable OFM partners is increasing. ZTEsoft is well experienced in developing software and providing IT consultancy in the OFM space, where competitors’ business often focuses on one or the other,” said Muhammad Salman Sami, Chief Analysis Officer, ZTEsoft.
