Huawei releases Video and BSS Software-as-a-Service solutions to speed operators’ digital transformation

France, Nice, May 11, 2016 – Huawei has released SaaS solutions in the video and BSS field for Western Europe at TeleManagement Forum 2016 (TMF) Global Summit, in Nice, France, May 9 – 14.   Huawei’s new Video-as-a-Service and BSS-as-a-Service offerings are designed to build end-to-end SaaS-based business support services and video services to help operators reduce initial platform CAPEX investment costs and shorten time-to-market.

Huawei’s Video-as-a-Service solution is built on a powerful cloud platform, aiming to create a one-stop, out of the box Video SaaS service via virtualization and multi-tenant approach. At the same time, it relies on Huawei’s content aggregation platform, rich video content and applications to meet user requirements for video services and experience, to create a video business ecosystem, thereby increasing operator revenue.  Unlike an in-house mode, the hosted SaaS mode can facilitate small operators to launch video services in planning, construction, integration, operation and maintenance, personnel and technical requirements. It helps not only to reduce the initial investment threshold, the difficulty and cost of video content aggregation, but also to accelerate video service-time-to market for operators, and provide a pluralistic content entertainment service experience for the end user.

Huawei’s BSS-as-a-Service solution provides business operation supports services for small and medium operators. It reinforces customer-centric strategy via enabling digital multi-channel collaboration, 360-degree customer portrait and lifecycle management. It supports reliable and sustainable customer service by providing ITIL based and SLA oriented service operation and managed services. It also offers flexible system configurability, which adapts to different kinds of complex business needs and significantly reduces time-to-market of new product/services launches. Huawei’s BSS-as-a-Service has been applied in European markets since 2010, when it was commercially launched.  Today it supports more than seven million subscribers and helps operators and partners to create the greatest value. In April, 2016, Huawei was awarded the “best solution provider” award at the Global MVNO Summit.

The official release of Huawei’s SaaS based Video and BSS solutions will help operators to accelerate digital transformation strategy, incubate business innovation and demonstrate best practice together with operators.
