First online interactive data representation shows that the goal of all Africans accessing clean water by 2030 “realistic and achievable” A new interactive map(1), published by the international development charity WaterAid (http://www.wateraid.org), has been launched online showing that 14 African governments are on course or within touching distance of reaching the historic mark of everyone in their countries having access to clean drinking water by 2030(2).
The map has been released on the day that African water ministers and delegates arrive for the start of African Water Week(3) conference in Dakar, Senegal for crucial talks as to whether they should back a proposed new global Sustainable Development Goal(4) for universal access to water, sanitation and hygiene by the year 2030.
Thursday 29 May VIVA+ DTH Service Chooses Thomson Video Networks to Transmit FIFA World Cup 2014 Thomson Video Networks today announced that new Indonesian direct-to-home (DTH) satellite service VIVA+ has installed a ViBE™ VS7000 multi-screen video system in order to bring this summer’s FIFA World Cup 2014 to pay-TV viewers in Indonesia. A World Cup 2014 licensed broadcaster, VIVA+ launched its first product, Ultimate World Cup TV, in April. Football fans in Indonesia will be able to enjoy all 64 main games for the event on nine Ultimate World Cup channels, two of which will be HD quality.
