eacs launches dedicated Digital Transformation Team in response to Covid-19

Recent refinancing deal enables broadening of service offering to meet customer demand

Managed services provider eacs has launched a dedicated Digital Transformation Team, responding to the growing demand for a comprehensive solution from its customers.

Founded in 1994, eacs has become the leader in supplying practical, innovative and cost-effective Managed Services and IT Solutions to mid-market businesses across all sectors.

As a result of the pandemic, the company has seen increased demand for support and guidance, as many of its customers and prospects look to accelerate plans to digitally transform operations and help deliver more flexible ways of working. Following the company’s recent refinancing deal, it has fast tracked the creation of a new specialist delivery team, focused on providing customers with the support and expertise they need to help them begin to transform the way they work.

Kevin Timms, Chairman and Chief Executive of eacs, commented: “COVID has had a truly cathartic impact, dramatically altering the way businesses operate, how they make decisions and how people work.  With less than 50% of the UK workforce now back in the traditional office environment, coupled with the continued outbreaks of COVID , businesses are now looking for a longer-term answer to what has now become a hybrid working environment.

“As a result of what has happened, our customers are telling us they want us to do more to support and help guide them and as a result we decided to fast track our plans for a Digital Transformation team. By providing our customers with a more comprehensive level of support and access to real experts, we can ensure we are satisfying the increasing demand for our services, whilst also helping our clients fast track their digital transformation plans. Our objective has always been to provide the right solutions together with the necessary support to our growing portfolio of customers and thereby allowing the business to move to the next level for our clients.

Despite Covid-19, eacs has recently completed a successful refinancing deal, which saw the company raise debt to not only refinance an existing facility, but to upsize the debt on more favourable terms to support the growth of the company. The deal has allowed the company to adapt and further invest to provide additional capabilities and services to its clients.  It recently announced a shift to a 24/7 model which was the first step in its’ planned phase of growth. The new Digital Transformation Team is another step in that journey.

“There has been much anecdotal evidence that the current COVID-19 crisis has driven digital change, and this has certainly been our experience as we went through this process in recent months. We have utilised the exceptional knowledge and experience of the team to transform how we analyse data to ensure that we can make the right decisions based on real-time live facts and figures, not just on assumptions. For many businesses, using video conferencing and having a dispersed workforce was unthinkable, but during this challenging period it has become a necessity. Today, many are now beginning to look at the art of the possible and explore how technology can help them adapt to the new ways of working. Our newly established Digital Transformation Team is helping those businesses on that digital transformation journey, often at high speed,” added Mr Timms.
