to share documentaries, current affairs journalism and children’s entertainment across CanadaStockholm, Sweden, 4th October 2022 –  Global video solutions provider, Accedo, has partnered with TVO, a Canadian digital learning and media organization, to launch two new OTT video services for its documentaries, series, current affairs journalism, and children’s content. TVO and TVOkids have been deployed using Accedo One, an award-winning, cloud-based SaaS platform that enables companies to build, manage, and grow impactful video services across all major platforms and devices.

As a social impact charity, TVO is offering viewers its OTT services free of charge in an advertising-free environment, providing Canadians uninterrupted access to a mix of entertainment, news, and learning content that changes lives and enriches communities. TVO and TVOkids have been launched on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, LG Smart TV, and Android TV.

By leveraging the native apps and fully configurable user experiences provided by Accedo One, TVO and TVOkids were launched to market in a very short time. Accedo One also enables TVO to easily manage the user interface of its services and curate content on the fly using a powerful WYSIWYG editor. An extensive marketplace of expert partner vendors makes it easy to integrate with other parts of the video ecosystem and enables TVO to scale its services as needs and market dynamics evolve.

Owen Lambert, VP of Digital & Innovation at TVO, explains, “TVO’s strategic vision for the future is focused on meeting our audiences within the digital platforms they love most. As a social impact organization that creates new video content every day, we wanted to ensure viewers across Canada could enjoy easy and free access to their favourite documentaries, current affairs programming, and children’s entertainment. Accedo helped us to quickly reach multiple platforms that feature engaging user experiences.”

Mrugesh Desai, VP North America, Accedo, explains, “With its OTT video services, TVO is giving consumers more ways to engage with its educational and informative programming, completely free of charge. We wanted to provide the client with a quick route to market while also ensuring the seamless delivery of content in an engaging and easy-to-navigate user experience. By leveraging Accedo One, TVO will also be able to keep evolving its services over time by integrating new partner vendors and features based on what its customers show they need.”
