Accumulate proves interoperability with VocaLink to demonstrate secure end to end mobile payments solution

London and Stockholm, Sweden – 14 November, 2011. Accumulate, the technology leader in connected mobile solutions, today announced they have proved interoperability of their systems with VocaLink, the international payments provider, to provide a compelling demonstration of secure, real-time, Mobile Payments. Combining VocaLink’s interbank real-time payments solution, Immediate Payments, with Accumulate’s mobile security platform Mobile Everywhere, gives banks and clearing houses a proven capability to make interbank real-time account to account transfers through the mobile channel.

Marc Terry, Managing Director, Global Transaction Services at VocaLink said “Demonstrating the integration of our Immediate Payments, with Accumulate’s award winning mobile security platform, gives our customers a secure, easy to use and cost effective mobile payment solution.”

Vocalink’s Faster Payments Service, built and operated in the UK on behalf of ChapsCo, recently celebrated 3 years and over 1 billion transactions. Following VocaLink’s launch of Immediate Payments, its real-time solution for all other geographies, integration with Accumulate’s Mobile Everywhere demonstrates the power of real-time payments when coupled with a mobile device through a secure mobile channel.

VocaLink’s Multi-Channel Gateway, a component of Immediate Payments, allows secure connections from a variety of interfaces and when used in conjunction with Mobile Everywhere demonstrates the potential to perform secure person to person interbank transactions on mobile devices.

”For banks and financial institutions that want to offer their customers a full mobile payment service, this is a very smart and cost effective solution. Combining VocaLink’s cutting-edge real-time clearing and settlement system with our mobile security platform provides a secure and flexible way for banks to deliver easy to use and attractive, customer branded, mobile payment services” says Stefan Hultberg, Chief Executive Officer of Accumulate.
