Contract win with Seven Seas

Accumuli PLC (AIM:ACM), the advanced security solutions provider, is pleased to announce that it has won a contract to install and maintain a ‘next generation’ Firewall for Seven Seas, one of the largest suppliers of vitamins, minerals and supplements in the UK, to segregate and protect customers’ payment card data.

The Company is replacing an out dated, over complicated and difficult to support legacy Firewall within part of the Seven Seas group with a new, next generation Firewall which will offer real innovation by enabling unprecedented visibility and control of applications and content.

The contract is initially for one year and will encompass initial Firewall architecture and installation as well as ongoing security management services. Accumuli will support Seven Seas with 24x7x365 security support and monitoring, including Firewall and intrusion detection, network updates and monthly reporting, all within the Payment Card Industry (PCI) network environment.

It was Accumuli’s consultative approach which proved important to winning the project. Steve Crook, Head of IT of Seven Seas, commented, “Accumuli Security worked with us to provide a solution to what was a complicated, aging and expensive firewall infrastructure in the Lamberts Healthcare PCI environment. They demonstrated a consultative and thought-driven approach, from which we clearly understood the advantages of implementing a next generation Firewall. By adopting the most suitable firewall, along with a managed and monitored service from Accumuli Security, we simplified the technology environment and significantly increased our threat defence and detection capability.”

Dean Murtagh, Sales Director of Accumuli, added, “We are very pleased to have been appointed by Seven Seas to handle this critical project. We outlined the possible solutions and it is significant that our preferred route has been adopted by the client. Clearly, key to the relationship is our commitment to ongoing service and support for Seven Seas which, I am sure, will enable the partnership to develop and flourish.”
