Friday 10th September 2010, Geneva, Switzerland and IBC, Amsterdam: Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB) (www.adbglobal.com), a leading supplier of technology to the global digital television industry, is today celebrating the win of 2 awards at the 2010 CSI Awards. ADB scoops both the Best Interactive TV Technology or Application and Best Customer Premise Technology categories with its Carbo™ high definition user interface and its 5720SX three-way hybrid platform respectively.
Announcing the winners of the 2010 CSI Awards at the International Broadcast Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam last night, the judges recognised that ADB’s Carbo™ represented a significant step forward in the way that consumers are accessing and navigating video content. Its intuitive menus, rapid channel change and flexibility helped position Carbo ahead of competing solutions. The fact that ADB has already developed a working 3D version of Carbo also contributed to this win.
The ADB-5720SX three-way hybrid digital TV platform was judged to demonstrate a noteworthy technological advance that enables Pay-TV operators to seamlessly combine content from three delivery networks on a single platform and, via ADB’s Carbo user interface, make it quick and easy for consumers to access it. The ability to converge content from traditional cable/satellite, terrestrial and IP networks presents huge opportunities for the Pay-TV industry.
