ADB EXPANDS NORTH AMERICAN REACH WITH GATEWAY DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIP

8th August 2012 – Geneva, Switzerland: Advanced Digital Broadcast (www.adbglobal.com), a leading supplier of advanced solutions for the connected home, is expanding its presence in North America after signing a distribution contract with Adams Cable Equipment (ACE) of Lenexa, Kan. ACE helps operators affordably manage their inventories. In addition, the company specializes in working with all types of broadband-related customer premise equipment and has worked with hundreds of operators to develop suitable solutions to meet their specific needs.

The partnership will allow ACE exclusively to sell and support ADB’s high-performance P.DGA4001N WiFi ADSL2+ gateway in North America and enable Telco operators to offer subscribers a complete high-speed broadband access and home connectivity solution. ADB’s home gateways are optionally equipped with Epicentro®, ADB’s state-of-the-art software platform, which allows service providers to deploy software modules and applications over time via transparent remote management, creating opportunities for operators to provide function and service up-selling to the consumer on the same hardware device.

Consumers can easily select and install on-demand applications from the Epicentro® Backend Portal, which allows qualified third parties to publish and sell value-added services for the connected home, such as home automation, wellness, data storage and security, energy management, home surveillance, self-care and more. Through its partnership with ADB, ACE customers will have access to advanced devices that will expand subscribers’ experience.

All of ADB’s gateways fully support the TR-069 standard framework for remote management, allowing advanced management servers, like ADB’s PMP, to simplify operational efforts via remote automatic provisioning, configuration, firmware upgrade, application download, performance monitoring and assurance.

“There is a real need for high-quality, cost-effective solutions that can increase subscriber satisfaction and drive superior service levels while improving operational efficiency,” said Michael Adams, COO at ACE. “We are looking forward to introducing ADB’s P.DGA4001N ADSL gateway to our North American operators. It will enable them to use ADB’s management solution to respond more quickly to consumer demands and reduce time spent on technical issues. We will deliver a better overall experience to subscribers at a competitive price.”

“U.S. Pay-TV operators, like their counterparts in other major TV markets, are challenged with meeting increased subscriber demand for higher-quality services
and new connected experiences,” said Francesco Schiavinato, Executive Vice President of Broadband Division at ADB. “We are focused on evolving the connected home into a connected life that increases subscriber satisfaction and operator revenues in a sustainable and easily managed way. This distribution partnership with Adams Cable Equipment gives us the ability to bring our solutions and services to more operators throughout North America.”
