Advantech Wireless releases Second Generation 350W/500W CL-Band GaN based SSPA/SSPB for Troposcatter Applications

Montreal,CANADA – October 16, 2015 – Advantech Wireless, a global leader inSatellitebroadband communications solutions, announced today the release of the Second Generation350W/500W CL-Band SapphireBlu^TMGaN(Gallium Nitride) based SSPA/SSPB for Troposcatter (TROPO)Applications.

The new Advantech Wireless Super Compact TT Series SapphireBlu^TM SSPAs/ SSPBsprovide the highest power density in the industry and operate over the Low C-band TROPOfrequency of 4.4 – 5.0 GHz. These new Solid State Power Amplifiers are designed to be used, as direct replacement of older generation Klystrons or TWTs.Troposcatter(also known astropospheric scatter) is a method of communicating with microwave signals reflecting from the atmosphere for robust communications links over very long distances.
