Almira Labs To Speak In Panel Session at SDP Global Summit

Session Will Illustrate How Service Providers Can Deploy Voice-Driven Services to Increase Revenue and Reduce Churn; Almira Labs Will Also Demonstrate Its Advanced BrainPhone Store™ Catalogue at the Event

Madrid, Spain  4 September, 2012—Almira Labs, a provider of software solutions for communications service providers and enterprises, has announced that Miguel Monforte, the company’s chief marketing officer, will participate in a panel session at the SDP (Service Delivery Platform) Global Summit. The event is scheduled for 11-13 September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rome. The session, “Open For Innovation,” is set for Thursday, 13 September at 12:20 pm. Joining Mr. Monforte on the panel will be Shira Levine, directing analyst with market research firm Infonetics, as well as representatives from Open Cloud, and the French mobile operator Bouygues.

During the discussion, Mr. Monforte and the panel will discuss various strategies that service providers can leverage to introduce next-generation services to their subscriber base. The panel will also share real-world examples where operators have used cloud-based technologies to deliver high-margin voice-driven services, such as email, QR technologies, and social media, to legacy handset subscribers, as well as smartphone and fixed line users.

“While mobile operators are very much focused on squeezing more revenue out of their smartphone subscribers, the economic reality is that many providers still have a substantial base of feature phone users, who are very interested in leveraging advanced services without having to invest in new handsets,” explained Mr. Monforte. “The panel discussion at SDP Global Summit is designed to help operators understand the revenue potential this underserved market represents, and how they can deliver rich, high-margin services using low-cost cloud-based technologies.”

In addition to Mr. Monforte’s panel participation, Almira Labs will showcase its BrainPhone Store™ value added software (VAS) catalogue at the SDP Global Summit. Released earlier this year, the BrainPhone Store allows providers to deliver a wide array of innovative features, such as email, social media, QR codes, and recording services, to any device and across any network. Almira Labs will demonstrate the catalogue in the Open Cloud booth during the SDP Global Summit.
