ROME – May 4, 2022 – Amdocs, a leading global provider of software and services to communications and media companies, today announced that it has joined telecoms industry association Asstel (Assotelecomunicazioni) as part of Amdocs’ efforts to create long-term economic and social value in Italy.
Founded in 2002, Asstel – a member of Confindustria network– is a not-for-profit membership body of telecoms operators and their partners and suppliers, spanning fixed line, mobile and internet services. It is the main telecoms industry association in Italy. The association’s activities are aimed at guaranteeing the central importance of associated companies, the drivers of Italy’s economic, social and civil development.
Amdocs, which employs 29,000 people globally, works with some of the largest telecoms operators in Italy alongside leading service providers around the world to accelerate their migration to the cloud, enable them to differentiate in the 5G era, and digitalize and automate their operations. Amdocs recently announced the launch of Donne in Tech, a new forum designed to empower more Italian women to consider a career in tech and give a greater voice to women already working in the sector.
