19 August, 2010 – Team Simoco; a member of the Team Telecom Group, has been awarded the contract to complete the design and build of the microwave network for Anglian Water – geographically, the largest provider of water and wastewater treatment in England and Wales.
Comprising of more than 100 links, the network spans over 12 counties, stemming from North Lincolnshire to Essex and across to Bedford and Northampton, and is a shared infrastructure solution designed to support Anglian Water’s strategic business and operational communication needs. Anglian Water had already designed and installed a large part of their network, but looked for external support from Team Simoco to complete the design and build.
Team Simoco has worked closely with Anglian Water to ensure all elements of the turnkey solution, including both civil engineering and network design, are implemented in accordance with Anglian Water’s specific operational and technical requirements.
As part of the contract Team Simoco also introduced Indigo Telecom; a fellow member of the Team Telecom Group, to undertake remote management and support of the network. Through its Network Operation Centre (NOC), Indigo ensure that Anglian Water retains a continued level of service, 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Team Simoco were chosen to help us finish the design & build. We are now close to completing the build of the network, which will provide a solution that meets the future needs of our business.”
Anglian Water provides water and wastewater services to more than six million domestic and commercial customers, representing nearly 20% of the area in England and Wales. On a daily basis, the company supplies approximately 1.1 billion litres of drinking water and is responsible for 1,250 water and wastewater treatment works and 81,000 kilometres of pipeline.
