ANS Group presents the Great British Data Centre Event

Event includes keynote speakers from Cisco and other ANS partners on Cloud Computing.

ANS Group presents the Great British Data Centre Event, a one day experience for professionals to get acquainted with the future of IT in the Cloud at one of its most inspirational locations.

ANS Group is running its biggest ever data centre event on Wednesday 27th June at the impressive Cisco House that overlooks the London Olympic Stadium. Over the course of the day, experts will show guests how the FlexPod combination of Cisco, NetApp and VMware technology cut costs and optimise IT Infrastructure performance.

“It’s fitting that the Olympics are being held in London this year,” says Paul Sweeney, Managing Director at ANS Group. “During the event, we want people to be thinking about the athletes who have to give their all for the sake of competition because in business, as in sport, you have to optimise every aspect of your performance in order to compete.”

The event starts at 10 a.m. and features several keynote speakers, including Gregory Page, Technical Solutions Architect and Co Author of Cisco Press Book “Cloud Computing: Automating the virtualized data centre”.

Andy Barrow, Technical Director at ANS Group, will also present on the “7 Steps to Flexpod” and he will also team up with ANS Group Sales Director David Hutton to present “Building the Business Case for a Next Generation Architecture”.

There will also be an executive Q & A Panel with: Phil Smith, UK & Ireland CEO of Cisco, Ian Kennedy, Technical Operations at Cisco across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia, Dave Allen, NetApp Managing Director for UK & Ireland and Joe Baguley, Chief Cloud Technologist in EMEA for VMware.

Imran Hakim, the BBC Dragons Den contestant who secured the backing of Theo Pathtis and Peter Jones with his entrepreneurial spirit and iTeddy invention, will bring some celebrity to the event with the closing keynote address.

The Great British Data Centre Event ends around 4 p.m. with Complimentary drinks overlooking the Olympic Park.

ANS Group chairman Scott Fletcher says he’s excited to be able to let guests pick the brains of some of the top people in the UK’s IT industry, as well as show off the Cisco House.

“This is people’s opportunity to ask those burning questions they have from the UK top executives,” Fletcher says. “And this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Cisco House. It has stunning views of the stadium across the Olympic Park and the event includes a 30 minute Business Development tour.”

And to join in the spirit of things, fifteen ANS staff members, including Fletcher, will be performing a sponsored bike ride from Manchester to London in the build up to the event in an attempt to raise £10,000 for charity in the process.
