One-Day Program to Feature Educational Sessions on Technical Services, IPv6 Adoption, Current Registry Policy, Internet Governance, and More

NANOGFREMONT, CA, JULY 30, 2014 – The North American Network Operators’ Group (NANOG) together with the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) is pleased to announce the ARIN+NANOG On The Road event to be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Best Western Plus Inn On The Park Capitol Square in Madison, WI.  With free registration, the event offers a variety of research and education-based presentations including tutorials and engaging ARIN service and NANOG meeting content discussions, in addition to the in-person networking opportunities.

The ARIN+NANOG On The Road events provide current ARIN and NANOG content covering everything from technical services, the status of IPv6 adoption, and current registry policy, to developments and hot topics in Internet governance.  The program also features the ‘Ask NANOG’ session, allowing attendees to solicit discussion topics not on the program agenda and speak one-on-one with members of the NANOG Board, Program Committee, and staff onsite who will share their experience and further explain the importance of NANOG’s mission to make the Internet better.

ARIN and NANOG sit at the junction of Internet infrastructure and network operations in North America, sharing a rich cooperative history with the operator community representing a large stakeholder group who works to keep the Internet operational through ARIN policy and network operations.  The third program of 2014, ARIN+NANOG On The Road provides attendees with greater access to resources, information and tools that will help them do their jobs, managing the Internet more effectively.

ARIN+NANOG On The Road runs from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and features a post-event reception concluding at 6:30 PM.  There is no fee to attend; however, registration is required.  Attendees can register by visiting https://www.arin.net/madison.  Registration is now open.
