Astrocast launches four spacecraft; increases constellation to 18 satellites

Milestone of new satellites improves capacity and reliability of SatIoT network for clients

Lausanne, Switzerland & Cape Canaveral, USA, January 11, 2023 – Astrocast, a leading global nanosatellite IoT network operator, launched four Astrocast 3U spacecrafts into space on Tuesday, 3rd January. This launch is a significant milestone for Astrocast’s nanosatellite IoT network; and enables the company to increase its commercial constellation to 18 satellites – making Astrocast one of the top 3 LEO satellite operators in Europe, based on the number of commercial satellites currently in low Earth orbit. 

These new satellites improve the capacity and reliability of Astrocast’s network, and will play a key part in providing  customers direct-to-satellite connectivity across the globe. This recent launch took place at  Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, with D-Orbit’s ION Satellite Carrier; on the Transporter 6 mission, with the  SpaceX  Falcon 9 rocket.
