AT4 wireless obtains the CPV accreditation
for Concentration Photovoltaic
Málaga, Spain – July 09, 2012 – AT4 wireless is pleased to announce its recent CPV accreditation which enables it to perform testing according to the Standard IEC 62108 for Concentration Photovoltaic Modules
As the Photovoltaic Industry is growing at a rapid rate, module manufacturers are constantly starting up new strategies and looking for innovative materials that reduce costs and increase effectiveness.
After a long time of research, the Concentrating Photovoltaic (CPV) technology has experienced a remarkable development, as it uses lens able to focus the light onto small high-efficiency cells in order to maximize the performance and reduce the cost per watt.
These Concentration modules offer high energy yield (kWh/installed kW); higher efficiency, allowing smaller module area; lower product costs, because of the reduction of semiconductor material; lower installation costs, and excellent performance in late afternoon.
AT4 wireless has recently been accredited by ENAC (Entidad Nacional de Acreditación in Spain) so as to perform testing according to the IEC 62108 Standard for Concentration Photovoltaic Modules.
From now on, CPV module manufacturers can rely on the support of AT4 wireless, laboratory with more than 20 years of experience in testing and certification, in order to carry out the IEC 62108 testing that will let their modules to obtain TÜV Nord Certification, ETL for USA, and CEC (California Energy Commission in United States of America) Certification.
