AT4 wireless RF performance laboratory upgraded to version 3.1 of the CTIA OTA
Malaga, Spain – December 22, 2011 – AT4 wireless is pleased to announce that has been authorized by CTIA to conduct testing to new version 3.1 of the CTIA OTA Test Plan
From last December 15th CTIA Over The Air (OTA) RF Performance Test Plan version 2.2.2. is not longer valid, all devices have to be compliant with version 3.1 from that date onwards.
AT4 wireless has invested and achieved the necessary requirements to meet this new version of the CTIA certification criteria in order to upgrade its existing Authorized test facility.
The 3.1 version includes new measurement procedures such as using artificial right hand (previously, only both artificial head and free space conditions were required) and new mandatory test scenarios for laptops, notebooks, tablets and M2M devices.
CTIA Test Plan for Mobile Station 3.1 goes beyond version 2.2.2 and makes possible to characterize the device using additional realistic scenarios for all different technologies such as A-GPS, GSM, GPRS, EGPRS and W-CDMA, what will help to improve overall device performance for end users and network operators.
This new accreditation allows our clients’ products to obtain different certification schemes and access to markets, such as PTCRB (PCS Type Certification Review Board) which allows to enter into USA and North American Network Operators acceptance programs, what it is a continuation of the commitment that AT4 wireless has as one-stop shop for the mobile communication industry, said Mr. Juan Carlos Soler (Performance Laboratory Manager).
AT4 wireless is also accredited for CTIA Wi-Fi Alliance OTA Test Plan for Converged Devices and PTCRB (GERAN/UTRAN/E-UTRA) among other wireless technologies.
