B3 sets its sights on global expansion
B3, a global manufacturer of optical fibre and copper cable solutions has appointed Kevin Samuel as commercial director.
This appointment comes as the company expands into new vertical markets and territories, and with a complete product offering for organisations developing fibre optic network infrastructures.
Kevin heads a global team of six sales directors spread across Germany, the Middle East, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
He is looking to build on the organisation’s success and vast expertise in the telecoms sector by expanding into vertical markets such as the airport, commercial properties, petrochemicals and rail sectors.
“B3 works with many of the world’s leading telecoms providers,” said Kevin. “We are keen to build on this success and also introduce Expedite, a comprehensive range of products for fibre optic networks to new markets.
“My appointment allows us to share expertise and focus on providing a wider product offering to a range of vertical sectors, all of which rely on fibre optic network infrastructures.”
Kevin brings many years’ cable manufacturing experience to B3, having joined the organisation from Draka where he was managing director for the UK.
Before that Kevin was sales and marketing director for Australian-based Zip Industries where he successfully helped the organisation expand into the UK and the Africas.
B3 is at the forefront of optical fibre and copper provision, encompassing cabling and infrastructure products for city-wide, access and in-building communications networks.
It has a major manufacturing operation in Manchester as well as facilities and consultants across Europe, the Middle East and Far East that support a global customer base which includes BT and Eircom.
