Banglalink Wins mBillionth South Asia Award 2011 for mWallet, powered by Comviva
New Delhi, July 28, 2011: Banglalink, a wholly owned subsidiary of Orascom Telecom and a leading operator in Bangladesh today announced that they have won mBillionth South Asia Award 2011 in the category m-Business and Commerce/Banking for its mWallet services, powered by Comviva’s mobiquityTM mobile financial solution. Comviva has provided its mobiquity™ mobile financial platform to empower Banglalink to offer integrated financial payment services, which allows customers to conduct a variety of transactions including international money transfer, railway ticketing and utility payments over the mobile.
The award was presented at a ceremony organized in New Delhi by its convener, Digital Empowerment Foundation, and sponsored by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.
