The widespread use of smartphones, tablets and other sophisticated mobile devices – coupled with accelerating consumption of rich multimedia applications such as streaming video, live TV, social media and instant video chat – is driving operators’ evolution to LTE and other 4G network architectures for delivering mobile data services. T1100 Traffic Director
The T1100 Traffic Director is designed to deliver the intelligence and performance required to scale next-generation networks and applications. It enables operators to efficiently and cost-effectively manage explosive growth in data traffic while delivering a high-quality subscriber experience.
The T1100 is a highly flexible application delivery controller – powered by Citrix NetScaler and custom-built for deployment with Bytemobile’s Smart Capacity platforms. The T1100 also features advanced TriScale technology, including new clustering capabilities that enable multiple appliances to work as a single system so overall network capacity can easily scale from just megabits/sec to terabits/sec. TriScale clustering complements the Pay-As-You-Grow elasticity offered by the T1100, enabling operators to increase performance on-demand up to 5x to quickly meet changing traffic requirements within the mobile packet core – without having to provision new hardware.
T2100 Content Accelerator
The T2100 Content Accelerator is an intelligent caching appliance architected to provide the highest level of bandwidth management for today’s mobile broadband networks, while delivering the best possible multimedia experience to subscribers. Because of its seamless integration with Bytemobile’s two Smart Capacity platforms, operators can add the T2100 to existing traffic management deployments and immediately begin accelerating the multimedia experience by bringing streaming video and audio closer to the subscriber.
Bytemobile’s data shows that on average, more than half of all mobile video and audio content can be served from cache.
