Wind Tre selects Ericsson for RAN modernization in Italy • Multi-year Radio Access Network (RAN) transformation deal includes the provision of 5G-ready hardware, software and services • Rollout of Ericsson solutions – including the Ericsson Radio System– supports Wind Tre’s ambition to have the nation’s highest performing mobile network • Improved network quality and user experience for Wind Tre’s 31 million subscribers Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has been selected by Wind Tre to modernize its Radio Access Network (RAN) across Italy. The deal will see the implementation of the Ericsson Radio System (ERS) product portfolio into the Italian communications service provider’s network starting October 2018, including new ERS Radios, and ERS Basebands to improve network quality and user experience for the company’s 31 million customers.
