In Celebration of Its Sixth Wave of Graduates
Ooredoo Honors Team ‘Waslat ‘Aafyah’ from Its Springboard Program
Muscat, Oman
Ooredoo honoured team ‘Waslat ‘Aafiyah’ from the sixth wave of graduates after being selected as one of the Springboard programme’s top three winners. The group designed a smartphone application which allows users to easily connect and navigate the medical industry in the Sultanate. The innovative App delivers information on private hospitals and clinics, seminars and lectures, medical education, and it includes a dedicated forum.
Suad Al-Rawahi, Team Leader of ‘Waslat ‘Aafiyah’ said, “Ooredoo’s Springboard program has represented a valuable opportunity for us to come up with a life-enriching service that benefits our community. We have selected this project based on the needs of the nationals and expats for an interactive platform to find locations of private hospitals and polyclinics across Oman. This application is intended to help everyone in the community and give them all the medical information they need at their fingertips.”
She added: “I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to Ooredoo for giving us the support and opportunity to develop this innovative project.”
The Springboard programme was created in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the British Council, with the belief that everyone has untapped potential that can be developed for the fulfilment of the individual, their employer and local communities. To date, Springboard has been introduced to over 175,000 women in over 22 countries, empowering them to harness their talents and live healthier, happier and more productive lives.
