CIRPACK opens a representative office in Beirut

Paris, May 27, 2014, Cirpack has announced the opening of a sales office in Beirut, Lebanon, to expand the scope of its commercial activity to the Middle East.In line with its policy to boost export sales, Cirpack has chosen the city of Beirut as the hub for its strategy to conquer new markets, beyond its initial bases in Europe and Latin America. In view of the outlook for broadband development in these regions, promoting fixed or mobile VoIP services will allow Cirpack to conquer new market shares with regional operators covering thirty or more countries in the Middle East and Africa.

The latest ITU report reveals that the mobile broadband penetration rate in Arabic countries is still low (25%). We can therefore assume a potential steep increase in demand for technologies in which Cirpack excels.According to iDate, the rapidly developing markets of Africa and the Middle East report very high growth in ICT services, of nearly 9%.

Consequently, the fixed and mobile telephony market in these regions will experience trends comparable to those of developed countries. These trends will include the voice solutions offer proposed by Cirpack and its partners, which will give operators, ISPs and MVNOs the means to propose more value added services on the residential and corporate markets.

This new location underlines Cirpack’s export capability which relies on the exceptional growth potential of Middle-Eastern countries in the area of fixed and mobile telephony. Our experience and expertise will be essential assets for conquering these new markets, with the goal of generating annual revenue of more than two million euros in 2015 in these regions”,  says Patrick Bergougnou, Cirpack’s Chairman & CEO.

According to Joe Helou, MEA Sales and Marketing Director for Cirpack, “the market of operators in the Gulf region is currently reporting 2-digit growth. The emergence of MVNOs has bolstered the momentum, thereby creating many potential customers for Cirpack’s activity in the region. With respect to unified communication, we are also observing a sharp increase in demand from public services, such as Interior ministries, utilities and oil & gas companies, in order to consolidate and optimize their ICT infrastructures through operators. The solutions proposed by Cirpack in this area, involves partners who will be selectedbased on the dual criteria of business knowledge and technical expertise. Our market penetration strategy is part of a long-term process.”
