Cloud Technology solutions inks deal with CIMtrek to augment its IBM Lotus to Google Cloud Migration capability

A partnership deal has been signed by two of the leading cloud migration solution providers that will enhance the transition process for millions of Lotus Notes users.

The partnership between Cloud Technology Solutions (CTS), the Google Enterprise Partner, and CIMtrek, which provides the tools to migrate legacy applications to Cloud platforms, will deliver an easy and cost effective way of migrating, testing and supporting legacy business processes on a massive, secure, cloud infrastructure.

Cloud Technology Solutions is a leader in the migration of on-premise messaging and collaboration tools. CIMtrek has recently been awarded the status of ‘Cool Vendor’ by Gartner Group which is all the more impressive considering the platform has only been available over the last twelve months.

“There are around 180 million Lotus Users out there. That’s a lot of pent up demand for 21st century technology! Notes has served its customers well with its collaboration and application building capabilities but its heavy duty in terms of support and cost when compared to the new web based computing paradigm,” said Jon Pyke, CEO and Founder of CIMtrek.

“We are known for our expertise around migration to the cloud and in particular for our GroupWise expertise. This enables us to highly customise and automate the process of getting GroupWise users on to the cloud. We want to do the same for Lotus users. Yes today we can migrate Lotus mail, calendars and contacts but that’s only part of the story for IBM Lotus users,” added Steve Kaye, CEO of Cloud Technology Solutions.

“The CIMtrek preferred Google Migration partnership now enables us to address customized applications as well. Some of these applications and processes are over 10 years old. They can’t be ignored; they need all that data and business logic across as well. In order to assess the problem at each site we need the analytical power of CIMtrek and the easy and cost effective way of migrating, testing and supporting the same processes on a massive, secure, cloud infrastructure. Our close alliance with CIMtrek and our strategic relationship with Google gives us this.”
