Former Dell and Barclays Bank Executive Brings Deep Knowledge of Large Customer`s Decision-making Cycle to Cohesity
London – 27 September, 2022 – Cohesity, a leader in next-gen data management, today announced the appointment of Mark Molyneux as CTO for Cohesity in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Molyneux will play a key role in advising customers, prospects, and partners on how next-gen data management can help them manage, protect, secure, and derive value from their data — their most critical digital asset.
In his new role as EMEA CTO, Molyneux will work hand-in-hand with a variety of partners and customers, across a host of verticals, to ensure there is a continued and strong feedback loop between their rapidly evolving needs and the next-gen data management solutions and SaaS offerings provided by Cohesity. Molyneux will engage closely with Cohesity’s leadership, engineering, and product teams to provide these customer insights and use cases for feature enhancements and future roadmap prioritisation.
Based in London, UK, Molyneux brings more than 25 years of relevant experience working for leading information technology (IT) companies and Fortune 500 financial institutes. Prior to joining Cohesity, he was the UK Business Development CTO at Dell Technologies, leading hybrid and multi-cloud conversations in the UK. Molyneux joined Dell Technologies in 2019, following more than twelve years at Barclays Bank where he held the position of Director of Group Storage, Virtualisation, and Public Cloud.
“In my previous roles I was able to gather valuable insights into the decision-making cycle of large organisations and Fortune 500 companies,” said Molyneux, EMEA CTO, Cohesity. “These strategic business insights to global and strategic customers allow me to give guidance to the CXO leadership teams in this region on how they can solve their biggest challenges around data security, cloud, and data management.”
“I am delighted to welcome Mark Molyneux to the team as EMEA CTO,” said Richard Gadd, vice president EMEA, Cohesity. “He brings a deep understanding of the technology and infrastructure complexities faced by businesses throughout the region in critical areas including data security, cloud, and data management and can help organisations address these challenges while also delivering exceptional business outcomes. Molyneux’s background, experience and gravitas will also help Cohesity further engage senior customers with the highest degree of credibility.”
