CommunicAsia, Singapore, 2-5 June 2015

CommunicAsia2015 took place from 2 – 5 June 2015. Recognised as Asia’s largest integrated info-communications technology event, 48,701 local and international attendees were given the opportunity to connect and network throughout the 4 days. Trade attendees were treated to an extensive display of innovative products and solutions across 3 levels of Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

Addressing the demand for smart innovations, the NXT Clusters returned with 3 refreshed themes – NXT Cities, NXT Enterprises and NXT Connected Lifestyle. Attendees were also given the opportunity to witness product showcases related to the NXT Clusters at Studio NXT. Other enriching activities such as SME Day, Indonesia Connect, Technology Tour and DigiMarketing Lab further supplemented the overall experience and were well-received by visitors.

UK SMEs criticise Google for confusion over mobile update

The first study analyzing the impact of Google’s mobile update has revealed confusion and concern amongst many businesses at the inconsistent and unpredictable impact the update had caused.

The study of 1000 SMEs across the UK, released today by Koozai, a leading digital marketing agency, found businesses had experienced a drop in organic rankings and traffic even though they had optimized their websites for mobile.

Geneva, 26 May 2015 – New figures released by ITU indicate that over the past 15 years, information and communication technologies (ICTs) have grown in an unprecedented way, providing huge opportunities for social and economic development.

The new figures track ICT progress and show gaps in connectivity since the year 2000, when world leaders established the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Today, there are more than 7 billion mobile subscriptions worldwide, up from 738 million in 2000. Globally, 3.2 billion people are using the Internet, of which two billion live in developing countries.
