(Cincinnati & Reading, England; October 20, 2010) – – Convergys proved the logical choice to drive a significant BSS transformation project with leading business and technology services provider Logica.
Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, announced today that it will upgrade Logica’s BSS platform with its Rating and Billing Manager Smart App, part of Convergys’ Smart BSS Solutions portfolio. Convergys will complete the transformation in the first quarter of 2011.
Logica has recently signed a contract to administer the IT and billing requirements of a global telecommunications services provider’s white label managed services program. Available through the provider’s wholesale arm, the white label program enables other entities to offer telecommunications services under their own brands.
With Convergys leading the transformation of Logica’s BSS platform, Logica will be able to provide its telecommunications client with better operational resilience, improved revenue assurance, and an enhanced ability to launch new products and services. Logica will benefit from a lower total cost of ownership of its existing BSS platform.
