Cordys delivers improved business agility to FNV Bondgenoten

Largest Dutch trade union harmonizes scattered IT landscape with Cordys

Putten, The Netherlands, July 25, 2013 – Cordys, a leading provider of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Business Process Management, today announced that FNV Bondgenoten, the largest trade union in the Netherlands, has successfully deployed Cordys Business Operations Platform (BOP) as its solution for business integration and process management.

FNV Bondgenoten is the largest trade union in the Netherlands’ private sector and represents 455,000 members. The union employs 400 staff at its Utrecht headquarters and approximately 100 people at each of five branch offices spread across the country. In order to best represent the interests of its members and offer the highest quality service to them, FNV Bondgenoten wanted to reduce the complexity of its IT landscape and move to a flexible and scalable infrastructure. After a rigorous tender and evaluation process, FNV Bondgenoten selected Cordys as its top choice.

FNV Bondgenoten deployed the Cordys Business Operations Platform to deliver customer self service over the web from any device. The Cordys solution enables FNV Bondgenoten members to ask questions and get real-time advice on work and income-related topics. The organization also uses the Cordys platform to improve internal business processes. With the solution in place, FNV Bondgenoten aims to communicate more efficiently and rapidly, both internally and with its union members, companies, and government bodies.

“The Cordys platform promotes the reuse of existing applications and also supports a better alignment between the IT systems and business needs,” said Els Vielvoye, Information Manager at FNV Bondgenoten. “By working with Cordys, we have been able to enhance our communication channels and gain operational agility by orchestrating and optimizing existing IT applications.”

“Cordys combines rich integration and orchestration capabilities in one single platform that is deployable on-premise or as a Platform-as-a-Service,” said Art Landro, Chief Executive Officer at Cordys. “This single integrated platform enables organizations like FNV Bondgenoten to maximize the value of existing IT assets, increase their member services with improved satisfaction levels and make full use of new Cloud possibilities.”
