Cortado Corporate Server equips iPads with complete desktop functionality managed by a secure central management system

ORLANDO (Gartner Symposium/ITxpo) – October 19, 2010 – Cortado, mobile business software expert and a Gartner Cool Vendor 2010, today announced the immediate availability of Cortado Corporate Server for iPad at Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2010. iPad is the fourth mobile platform supported by Cortado Corporate Server, following the availability of its cross-platform integration of iPhone, BlackBerry and Android smartphones.

The iPad’s improved security features due, will make the device more popular than ever before in the enterprise market. This usage creates a strong demand for a deeper integration of the device into corporate IT and addresses this demand in a reliable, scalable and secure way. Cortado Corporate Server increases workforce productivity by extending the corporate network and desktop to the iPad, offering complete independence from location-bound workplaces.

Cortado Corporate Server simplifies access to files in the corporate network based on user rights and integrates those resources into the iPad to enable nearly all classic desktop functions for the enterprise user. Users can send documents from the corporate network to recipients from the iPad address book. Documents created with Apple Pages can be printed to a corporate network printer, or on-the-fly to a wifi or bluetooth-enabled printer, including those in a hotel hotspot. With Cortado Corporate Server, iPad users can query database reports, upload documents to the network, fax them or convert files into PDF or ZIP. Anything can be centrally managed and tracked.

Cortado, a division of ThinPrint AG, is showcasing Cortado Corporate Server for iPad at Booth I in the Emerging Technology Pavilion at Gartner Symposium/ITxpo, Orlando and at Booth H2 at the upcoming European Gartner Symposium/ITxpro in Cannes.
