MCLEAN, Virginia, May 28, 2014 – CYREN (NASDAQ: CYRN), a leading provider of cloud-based security solutions, today launched its CYREN URL Phishing Feed, a powerful new service that allows its web and email security partners to block phishing sites before they reach unsuspecting end users.
A new option for CYREN’s OEM and private label partners, the CYREN URL Phishing Feed identifies thousands of new phishing URLs each day using a robust combination of Recurrent Pattern Detection™ technologies, phishing URL logic, and human analysis by CYREN GlobalView™ Security Lab researchers.
By filtering out media URLs and identifying sites with multiple sub domains, the CYREN URL Phishing Feed then looks for known phishing keywords and applies a fuzzy logic detection algorithm to create a real-time list of dangerous phishing sites that attempt to mimic big-name websites.
