Data savings on Nawras prepaid Mousbak

Muscat, 7 January 2014 Nawras has introduced new data rates for all prepaid Mousbak customers that means they can now surf for less. Under the new data plans, Nawras is giving a ‘boost’ of 30mb of data for free for every 500 baiza spent on data each day. In today’s world, as more and more smartphones and smart devices are being used, customers are consuming significantly more data, which has in the past meant high bills or credit being used unexpectedly.  Nawras have recognised this shift in usage and has changed its Mousbak prepaid plan to cater for future customer requirements

Customers using the standard pay as you go rate of 500 Baiza per KB will automatically receive 30mb free on reaching a spend of 500 Baisa. As their data spend increases, so does the free data, and there is no limit to the number of boosts per day. So, for example, customers spending RO 1 on data will have two boosts of free data, 60mb, which would previously have cost over RO 25.

“These are significant savings for customers”, said Musab Nasser Al-Haddabi, Nawras Mobile Broadband Senior Product Manager. “But we wanted to reward those customers for their ongoing investment in and loyalty to Nawras. Customers are using more and more mobile data and Nawras are making it more cost effective, which means that customers can surf for less and not be worried about using all of their credit.”

“Mobile broadband is the fastest growing technology in the world and to meet the huge increase in demand we have improved the data rates for all prepaid Mousbak customers. Nawras recognises that data needs are increasing and smartphone use is growing rapidly and as a result, customers want more data and to be connected all the time. Our new offer is the most competitive daily rate available in the market and gives customers more value as part of their prepaid plan.”

Customers will receive an SMS from Nawras once they reach the threshold to qualify for the free data. They will then receive an extra 30 MB of data to use until midnight the same day. If another 500 Bz of data is consumed, a further 30 MB will be awarded and another SMS sent to confirm, and so on. Allowances are reset each day and the remaining data cannot be carried over to the next day, but customers can re-qualify the next day on reaching a minimum 500 Baiza spend. To sign up to the Mousbak prepaid plans, customers simply need to dial *111*2#.

Nawras always looks at ways to add value to and reward customers by providing new options to meet their changing needs.
