Decisive Media to Produce a Digital Marketplace for TIA Event, Tapping the Latest Technologies to Enhance the Live Event With Online Conference, Exhibition and Business Networking

Arlington, Va. – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is working with Decisive Media to host a Digital Marketplace for TIA 2011: Inside the Network, the premier annual event for the information and communications technology industry. The live event – including a Summit and Exhibition – is taking place May 17 – 20, 2011 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel near Dallas, Texas.

The Digital Marketplace will use Decisive Media’s online tools to enable marketing, business networking and educational activities supporting the live event. Online exhibiting through the Digital Marketplace begins in April 2011 and runs through June.

TIA 2011: Inside the Network addresses this changing business landscape with new thinking, new approaches to content monetization, and new frameworks for partnerships that will help lead the broadband communications industry to meet the needs of customers of all kinds with One Network — secure, reliable, scalable and sustainable.

Decisive Media, the pioneering company which owns and operates TelecomTV, is the official online TV media partner for the event. The company has a proven track record of bringing industry events to online audiences through the latest digital media technology.

“Innovation has always been the key driver of the ICT industry,” said TIA President Grant Seiffert. “As the network ecosystem evolves and grows, the advances in communications that TIA member companies have brought to the market give us new opportunities for online exhibiting and interaction, enhancing and extending the presence of industry events. Decisive Media has been at the forefront of innovation in digital media, and we look forward to working with them on the Digital Marketplace to provide what we view as the prototype for online industry events.”

“TIA has recognized that the ICT sector is looking for an approach to industry events that is more indicative of the innovation it delivers,” said Sean Carr, CEO of Decisive Media. “Obviously we are delighted that TIA has chosen to partner with us to help deliver the content from the event in a way that will allow the rest of the industry – that cannot attend the live experience – to participate virtually on Decisive Media’s social media platforms.”

TIA and Decisive Media have been working together on other projects as part of TIA’s digital media presence.
