by Anthony Weaver

Deltatre, the global media technology provider, can today announce that Adam Nightingale has been appointed SVP Commercial, reporting to OTT President and Board Director, Ron Downey.

As part of his role at Deltatre, Adam will assume responsibility for the commercial arm of Deltatre’s OTT and live streaming services, engaging with clients’ business strategies to ensure they are provided with the technology solutions to suit their needs. His role will also focus on company growth around the world in both mature and emerging markets across a wide variety of sports, entertainment and telecommunication entities.

With extensive experience as a sales and management professional, Adam has an enviable list of connections in the industry, with a broad knowledge of the evolving market landscape. During his 15 years in the technology industry, Adam has worked in several high-profile roles, most recently as SVP, International at Accedo, where he was responsible for driving growth and profitability across the company’s international business.

Previously, he held senior roles at Irdeto and Mobilitec, where he helped build and operate some of the world’s first online premium TV services for leading pay-TV providers and broadcasters.

He has wide-ranging experience and a proven track record in helping large media organisations find new avenues for growth through technology and is focussed on bringing to market disruptive solutions that underpin fan engagement in OTT. He has worked extensively with clients on understanding how to run a cost-effective, highly efficient technical back-end infrastructure, coupled with what makes a powerful front-end user experience that resonates with users, drives engagement and monetisation.

Welcoming his appointment, OTT President and Board Member of Deltatre, Ron Downey, said:

We are delighted to welcome Adam to the Deltatre group. Adam is a key hire, one which will help us realise our growth initiatives and expansion around the world. We know that the sports and entertainment marketplace is more discerning than ever with provider and viewer expectations at an all-time high. It’s wonderful to have someone like Adam join the team, who is excellent at helping clients find innovative and creative solutions that truly engage fans in a meaningful way.”

Commenting on his appointment: Adam Nightingale said:

I’ve known for a long time about Deltatre’s reputation for credibility and innovation, and the acquisition of Massive last year only re-enforces this. I believe that the resulting entity means Deltatre is now, more than ever, in a position to be an unmatched sport and entertainment technology powerhouse. No other company has the capabilities, insights, and people that we do. It’s an amazing opportunity to be part of this group in a fast-moving, competitive industry while helping customers succeed.”

Adam will be attending the IBC in Amsterdam this week; he will also be at the Sportel Conference in Monaco in October.
