Dialogue Communications Launches Independent GSM Network Dedicated to A2P SMS Delivery

Dialogue Communications, a leading specialist in global mobile messaging solutions, today announced the launch of its new independently operated GSM network dedicated to the carriage of A2P (Application to Person) SMS messaging, ahead of next week’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Leveraging off Dialogue’s status as a GSMA Associate Member, the new network is one of the first of its kind to be dedicated for the sole use of A2P SMS messaging.

Operating an independently registered network with its own unique Mobile Network Code and Global Titles serves to further strengthen Dialogue’s already competitive local and international SMS delivery services. By interworking directly with target operators, and eliminating third party networks between messaging applications and their end users, Dialogue is continuing to build on its global coverage whilst eliminating unnecessary cost and enhancing quality of service for its customers.

Hugh Spear, CEO at Dialogue Communications says: “It’s all about offering our customers the highest levels of reliability and quality for delivery of SMS through our secure messaging platform. As our worldwide carriage volumes continue to grow, the launch of our own independent carrier network allows us to do just that. Dialogue has always endeavoured to be the market leader at enabling end to end messaging solutions for businesses. Our new dedicated network brings our customers one step closer to the message recipient. We take pride in delivering exceptional service and now by interworking at the carrier level we can maintain end to end control over message delivery, offering a quality of service that is second to none.”

According to a recent research paper by Juniper, A2P SMS messaging will be worth $70.1 billion by 2016[1], as the strategic focus for carriers shifts from communication between individuals, to sending and receiving service-enabling messages.

Richard Dodds, Commercial Messaging Manager at Dialogue, adds: “Moving into the operator world is a big step forward for Dialogue as it will allow the company to engage with other mobile operators directly by negotiating A2P termination rates under familiar circumstances and, more importantly, under standardised GSMA certified contracts.”

As a dedicated A2P SMS specialist, Dialogue is not a participant in the international SMS hubbing market. Operators can therefore be confident that SMS terminating to their subscribers from Dialogue’s network will bring additional revenue on top of existing P2P (Person to Person) SMS traffic, eliminating any concerns around potential cannibalisation of existing income streams.”

With over 18 years of industry knowledge and experience, Dialogue has offices in Australia, UK, South Africa, Singapore and USA and delivers tens of millions of messages successfully for thousands of companies on a monthly basis across the globe. It uses a range of SMS APIs to allow business and enterprise to mobile enable their applications as well as offering its own specialised technology to help its customers benefit from the use of SMS messaging.
