DINGIT LAUNCHES FIRST OF ITS KIND CHROME EXTENSION
DingIt replaces plugin with a revolutionary new protocol to enhance the end-user experience for both broadcasters and viewers.
London, May 1st, 2015 – DingIt continues to extend its technology by replacing the download of its player plugin with an easy to use Chrome browser extension. This initiative has been developed in cooperation with the Chrome API, has been vetted by Chrome, and allows the user to watch content in one click.
The DingIt Chrome Extension is the first browser-based solution that allows users to watch streams on non-standard protocols, thereby surpassing many of the quality issues currently present on TCP IP.
Now, rather than downloading an executable, users can install a Chrome extension to watch all content on DingIt. Viewers who have already downloaded the DingIt player will not be affected. New users will receive a prompt to click & install the browser extension. The company anticipates that their fans will find this process more convenient than the previous download.
