Discovery Research & Development Center Joins OSPT Alliance
25 November 2014 – The Open Standard for Public Transport (OSPT™) Alliance, an international association which provides an open standard for secure transit fare collection solutions, has welcomed Discovery Research & Development Center (Discovery RDC) as an Associate Member.
Discovery RDC, based in Hungary, works to strengthen research networks in Eastern Europe. The company acts as a bridge between the academic and business sectors to identify innovative technology solutions across its specialist areas, which include software and mobile application development and IT security, and drive research and development collaborations between industry players.
The company is working in partnership with Hungary’s first qualified certification authority, NetLock Ltd, to develop interoperable and flexible transit fare collection solutions in a highly secure environment. OSPT Alliance’s CIPURSE™ open standard has been identified by the company as a key initiative which will benefit transit authorities and provide them with an advanced foundation to establish these solutions.
