New Delhi (India), December 3, 2010 – Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, announced today that its highly successful RFS StayConnected Days worldwide roadshow program is returning to India. Events will take place in New Delhi on December 6 and in Mumbai on December 9. During the events, RFS’ international experts will present the company’s latest innovations for 3G evolution and wireless cell site engineering challenges in India.

Discover RFS 3G innovations for India

The December 2010 RFS StayConnected Days in India build on the success of the December 2009 events. This year, attendees will learn more about RFS’ responses to major customer trends and new innovations designed to accelerate the evolution from 2G to 3G across India.

RFS experts will discuss the demand for high-volume, standardized equipment, the need for 3G coverage overlay and its impact in terms of new site engineering and indoor coverage challenges. They will also discuss the best ways to manage new frequencies and spectrum rebanding complexity as well as RFS’ state-of-the-art solutions to minimize the challenges of Remote Radio Head deployments.

RFS will feature a number of its highly innovative solutions for India, including:

· HYBRIFLEX™, the world’s first lightweight aluminum hybrid feeder cabling solution to combine optical fiber and DC power for Remote Radio Heads in a single corrugated cable.

· CELLFLEX® Lite, the world’s first corrugated aluminum transmission line and the lightest RF transmission cable on the market today.

· OMNI FIT™ Premium line of RF connectors, which include design breakthroughs for best-in-class performance and value.

· Variable-tilt Ultra-Broadband Antennas, which are optimized for 2- and 4-Way Receive (RX) Diversity, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) and beamforming, and are ideal for 2G, 3G, LTE and mobile TV networks.

· ShareLite combiners, which marry high performance and compact design to deliver unparalleled cell site optimization.

Meet with Kuldeep Tikoo, RFS India’s Managing Director

Kuldeep Tikoo, RFS India’s Managing Director, will be on-site in New Delhi and in Mumbai. Don’t miss your opportunity to meet him and learn more about his priorities and vision to better serve Indian operators throughout the sub-continent and to build stronger relationships with them.

“I look forward to meeting personally with many Indian operators, OEMs, installation and civil works companies during the RFS StayConnected Days in New Delhi and Mumbai,” says Tikoo. “By listening to their needs and challenges, I can share with them the many ways that RFS can help them achieve their objectives — in particular those objectives related to 3G evolution and wireless cell site engineering in India.”

Learn more about solutions for site engineering challenges in India

“Time, cost and risk are the three biggest challenges 3G licensees in India face as they work to address the wireless broadband needs of the local market and claim a share of the higher revenue potential offered by 3G wireless broadband,” says Tikoo. “Deploying new sites may not be economically feasible so operators will probably have to share sites with other players.”

“However,” explains Tikoo, “adding antennas to accommodate 3G requirements delays time-to-market, is expensive and may not be possible given the space limitations and the weight and wind load allowances that must be considered for shared site deployments. Our discussions will cover specific site engineering needs related to evolution to 3G, quality, cost and multi-frequency requirements for site engineering as well as innovative solutions for multi-band base station antennas and Remote Radio Head architectures.”

“As a take-away, all participants at the RFS StayConnected Days in New Delhi and Mumbai will receive first-hand information from our international experts about how to get to market faster with high-quality, revenue-generating wireless broadband services,” Tikoo concludes.
