E-Commerce Video Leader Cinsay Continues Enforcement of Patents with Filing of another Lawsuit

— Lawsuit Charges New Antics LLC with infringing on interactive video technology

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 1, 2013 – Cinsay Inc., a Texas-based leader in e-commerce video technology, has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against New Antics LLC in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. This suit continues a string of previously filed lawsuits filed against Liveclicker Inc., Joyus Inc., and Brightcove Inc.

The suit, Cinsay Inc. v. New Antics LLC, Case No. 3:13-cv-04188-P, was filed on October 16, 2013 and alleges infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 8,533,753 and 8,549,555 for interactive Internet-based video applications.

In the lawsuit filed by Dallas-based law firm Munck Wilson Mandala, Cinsay accuses New Antics of infringing on Cinsay’s patented innovations surrounding e-commerce videos – sometimes referred to as “shoppable videos.” Since its founding, Cinsay has continuously developed novel technology, propelling itself from a small start-up to a company with more than 120 employees today.

“Cinsay has devoted a substantial amount of resources in developing and protecting its technological breakthroughs,” says Cinsay CEO Christian Briggs. “This lawsuit is intended to protect these hard-earned technological breakthroughs from unauthorized use by New Antics.”
