Easynet launches managed telephony service

by david.nunes

LONDON, 13th October 2010 – Easynet Global Services today revealed how it is helping businesses embrace Unified Communications with its Managed IP-PBX Voice over IP (VOIP) solution.

The product will offer a fully-managed, end-to-end voice over IP (VoIP) business telephony service, offering customers a cost-effective route to unified communications. It will complement companies’ existing WAN infrastructure, converting voice into data and requiring minimal up-front investment.

The product, coupled with Easynet’s global expertise, will provide a flexible and lower-cost alternative to a traditional PBX.  As IP-PBX is a tailor-made solution, Easynet can adapt the service to suit individual customers’ needs. And because the product is fully-managed, it will require no additional staff or training and will be supported by a 24×7 helpdesk.

Dirk Peeters, managing director for Easynet’s Northern region, where the product has already been rolled out to customers said: “Businesses spend far more than they need to on separate voice and data connectivity. Our managed telephony allows companies to cut their spend on voice with little more than the flick of a switch, as well as taking the first steps towards rolling-out fully-fledged unified communications.”

Managed IP-PBX has been rolled out first across Northern Europe, and Easynet has the capability to offer it across the rest of Europe based on customer requirements. The service is already being used by a number of international organisations.
