Contract, valued at tens of millions of dollars, awarded by IAI, the satellite manufacturer

Haifa, Israel, December 5, 2012 – Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: ESLT (“Elbit Systems”), announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Elop Ltd. (“Elop”), was awarded a contract from Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (“IAI”) to provide a space camera for the Italian OPTSAT 3000 observation satellite. The total project, comprising the Jupiter advanced camera and additional services, is valued at approximately $40 million and will be completed within three and a half years.
