ENTONE & DIVITEL OFFERS TURN-KEY HYBRID HOSTED SERVICE SOLUTION

Cupertino, California (September 7, 2011) – Entone, Inc., a leading provider of Hybrid TV and Connected Home solutions, and Divitel, an independent systems integrator and digital video solutions provider, announced today that Entone’s Hybrid TV devices and digital video recorders (DVRs) are incorporated into Divitel’s Divisio hosted service solution.

Entone’s extensive portfolio of Hybrid TV products, ranging from the low-cost Kamai hybrid receivers to the Amulet with modular DVR options, offers operators the flexibility to select a platform tailored to their budget and feature requirements. The pre-integrated Entone-Divitel hybrid solution supports a variety of video delivery networks, including cable, satellite, terrestrial, fiber, DSL, broadband wireless and hybrid. This collaboration enables operators to quickly launch new and compelling revenue-generating services while reducing risks, lowering costs and shortening time to market.

“As the market for hybrid IP/DVB-C continues to accelerate, Divitel is well positioned to meet its customer demands. Divitel has the in-house technical expertise and in-depth understanding of video technologies to support a variety of hybrid TV project deployments,” said Bart Vanderostyne, Director of EMEA Sales and Operations at Entone. “Our customer-driven partnership with Divitel enables us to help our growing customer base accelerate their time to market while lowering CAPEX and OPEX in the process.”

Divisio is a turnkey hosted iDTV multi-platform service from Divitel. It is based on an HTML-5 widget-based ‘open middleware’ philosophy that offers operators the flexibility to develop their own applications or acquire them from Divitel. Due to the modular design of the Divisio architecture, the solution is scalable to support any size deployment and is network independent – making Divisio the ideal service solution that is robust and scalable for any network.

“Our customers clearly understand the benefits of having a reliable and flexible solution. The key success factors for deploying a hybrid video deployment relies heavily on a well-designed solution that is future-proof and cost efficient,” stated Hans Kornmann, CEO at Divitel. “Entone is consistently one of the leaders in developing Hybrid TV and connected home solutions which make them our partner of choice when developing hybrid video services for our customers.”

Product demonstrations can be seen at IBC2011 in Amsterdam at the Entone stand (Hall 13, stand 266).
