ERNESTO CASAS JOINS SANGOMA TECHNOLOGIES
Seasoned IT and Telecom Expert to Expand Firm’s CALA Presence
Toronto, Canada — March 22, 2012 – Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSX VENTURE:STC), a leading provider of hardware and software components that enable or enhance IP Communications Systems for both voice and data, today announced that Ernesto Casas has joined the company as director of sales for Central and Latin America (CALA).
A seasoned executive with more than 30 years’ experience in the IT and Telecom industries, Casas will focus on growing Sangoma’s presence in the CALA region. Among his responsibilities will be working directly with Sangoma’s existing partners in the region, as well as introducing Sangoma solutions to new distribution and service provider partners across Central and Latin America.
Prior to joining Sangoma, Casas served as regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean for Patton Electronics, a leading provider of communications technology hardware. In addition, Casas had previously served in business development and management roles with a number of global technology leaders, including 3Com, Verizon subsidiary CANTV, and SuperCable International.

Casas holds a graduate degree in computer science from Universidad Simon Bolivar in Venezuela, with a specialization in computer design, information technologies and operations research. He is also an associate professor at Universidad Humbold and Politecnico de Las Fuerzas Armadas de Venezuela.
