ESG chooses MobileIron for mobile transformation
– Field operations streamlined and simplified with mobile first approach
LONDON, Nov. 12, 2014 – ESG, the UK’s leading provider of testing, inspection and compliance services has today announced that it is working with MobileIron (NASDAQ: MOBL) via channel partner Bridgeway, to digitally transform their organisation and move to a mobile first infrastructure.
ESG provides testing and compliance services to over 5,000 clients across 25 sites in the UK, operating in a range of sectors including built environment, infrastructure and energy. ESG has an existing enterprise app operation and required a flexible mobility structure to fit in seamlessly with operations, as their current provider wasn’t meeting these needs. Implementing MobileIron will allow the company to gain the benefits of mobility and improve efficiency in its day-to-day corporate activities.
ESG’s internal enterprise app platform is vital to operations, improving both efficiency and value to clients. With an increased focus on mobility, the company currently has three apps in deployment and this number is set to increase to 10 by this time next year and 25 in three years’ time. Furthermore, working with MobileIron is providing ESG with a new found confidence in smooth and efficient deployment of these apps.
An example of this and one vital component of the implementation allows ESG employees out in the field to ‘go paperless’ and securely use their devices for testing and entering data, which can be analysed and displayed in real-time. In addition, ESG clients can access this information instantly rather than wait for paperwork to be filled in, uploaded and then shared.
First Class Support
Deployed across a number of Android, iPhones and Windows Phone devices, MobileIron has been chosen for its simplicity and flexibility in handling the requirements of multiple operating systems independently.
Bridgeway has addressed the security issues common to the migration process with 24-hour assistance and will maintain a permanent level of support. Due to the success and confidence that this process has provided the internal team at ESG with, it has enabled them to reiterate their commitment to mobility as a critical platform, meaning investment will continue to be ramped up in this area in the years to come.
Phil Baker, infrastructure manager at ESG, commented: “Our previous enterprise mobility service just wasn’t meeting our needs. With lengthy downtime periods and inconsistent app tunnelling processes, it was time to look for a new solution. With MobileIron’s platform and Bridgeway’s support, these issues have been avoided entirely. Within a month of the solution being deployed, Bridgeway had everything working, exactly as we had been promised with minimal disruption to ESG.”
“The app deployment process has been seamless and we’re now in complete control of our back-end environment, increasing staff productivity and ultimately improving our customer service,” adds Baker. “We’re thrilled with both Bridgeway and our new MobileIron enterprise mobility solution, which in my view is unrivalled in the industry. It has allowed me the opportunity to step back to a near zero-touch approach, fully confident in the knowledge that the mobility needs of ESG employees, from the Board to the field, are taken care of.”
Alistair Mutch, Regional Director for UK and Ireland at MobileIron added: “The huge success of this implementation has been possible thanks to the excellent support of our channel partner, Bridgeway. Together we were able to move quickly with the deployment to meet the urgent needs of ESG, who required an efficient mobility solution. We look forward to continuing our first-class partnership with Bridgeway, dedicating ourselves to digitally transform companies like ESG.”
